Q: Car Address change not reporting?
I bought a new car in April in Chicago (I was living there for last 3 years) for 23000 dollars and I paid $1500 in taxes (got tax credit from my trade-in), while all of a sudden I got a new job in California. I had to move, and when I went to California DMV they are charging me 1400 dollars for getting a Cal. license plate. But I already paid taxes in Illinois and just in two months I again have to pay sales tax on my car. I don’t understand why. Can I claim refund of Sales tax from Illinois since I am not using the car there anymore? Also when I informed my finance company about the Address change, my monthly installment shot up by $60 dollars due to taxes. Can I tell my Finance company that I have moved back to Illinois and decrease my monthly EMI back to old? I have proof of address for my old Illinois address in terms of bank statements, credit cards etc., which I can show if needed.

A: yes, defrauding two state governments is always a wise choice….NOT!

Sales tax and registration are not the same thing.
The 1400 is what California charges for registration, based on the value of the car. Washington and Oregon are very high too.

Q: Could someone please look over my resume?
Could you please look over my resume and give me suggestions on how to make it better and what I could cut out? It is about four lines too long, and I am trying to get it to one page. I am specifically using it now for a job at Verizon. I think it will be a heavily sales-oriented job. Trying to get the right wording down for my job experiences was difficult and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, whether it’s on grammar, context, format, etc. Thanks a lot!
